Mary Strickland

Mary Lou Gearin Strickland of Clermont Georgia passed away Sunday December 1st, 2013 at the age of 102. Born July 24th, 1911 in Clermont where she lived and enjoyed life as a homemaker and mother. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey Strickland. Mary and Aubrey had two sons and daughters in law, Myron and Syble Strickland, Harold and Hazel Strickland. Grandchildren: Rhonda and Chuck Russell, Phyllis and Rob Myers, Beverly and Tad Mendyka, Greg and Lisa Strickland, Kim and Gregg Teschner. Great Grandchildren: Chad Russell, Tyler and Lee Myers, Madison and Morgan Strickland, McKenzie, Carlie, Emmie and Will Teschner. Mary (Ma) also had countless nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and loved ones who have all been an important part of her life. She was a long time member of Concord Baptist Church. Visitation is planned for Tuesday December 3rd at Strickland Funeral Home in Clermont from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm. The funeral will be at 1:30 pm on Wednesday December 4th at Concord Baptist Church. Rev. James Dollar will officiate the ceremony. Graveside service will follow at Concord. Strickland Funeral Home, Clermont.
