Lucy Aliene Wilson

February 9, 1929 – January 19, 2022

Lucy Aliene Wilson, age 92 of Murrayville, died Wednesday, January 19, 2022. Visitation with the family will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 22 at the funeral home. Graveside Services, Sunday, January 23 at 2:00 p.m. Cemetery at 6076 Ransom Free Rd., Clermont. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Aliene will be remembered as one of the hardest workers you would ever see. She loved to garden and could often be heard running her tiller until there was barely enough daylight to see her way back to the house. She knew how to make things grow and was always generous with her crops, raising her four children by the sweat of her brow, and love in her heart. Her other love was for any animal she came in contact with. She never failed to make sure they had plenty of food, water, and a warm dry place to sleep.
Aliene was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Wilson, her parents, John Lumpkin Bennett and Vada Wilson Bennett, and all her siblings. She is survived by her children, Shirley Kirby, Judy (John) Kirby, James (Elaine) Wilson, and Angie Dills; grandchildren, Ryan Kirby, Kacey Spontak, Kevin Kirby, Clint and Michael Wilson, Laurel Smith, and Cody Dills. Great-grandchildren, Kendall and Owen Wilson, Aubrey and Jake Wilson, Cale, and Lausen Smith.
