Hoyt Curtis Porter

Hoyt Curtis Porter age 96 of Dahlonega died May 3l, 2015 at a private nursing home. Mr. porter was born in Hoschton, Ga.  April 30, 1919 to Hubert Porter and Mattie Lance Porter. He married Lucille Thomason on December 24, 1945 and she past away on September 28, 2009. Hoyt and Lucille had no children but had a loving relationship with their nieces and nephews. Hoyt served  in the Army During WWII, he worked for the state of Ga. and Hall County in corrections, and for Ga. DOT.  Hoyt lived most of his life in Clermont, Ga. He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings: Homer Porter, Hiram Porter, Leonard Porter, Ruth Porter, Virginia Jeffers, He is survived by his sister, Sally Porter and a number if nieces and Nephews.  Visitation will be from 1:00 to 3:00 pm Wednesday June 3, 2015 at the funeral home and graveside services will be at 3:00 pm in the Thomason Family Cemetery.  Strickland funeral Home, Clermont, Ga.
